Trannies Anonymous

Okay, so I’m in the current issue of Glam-it. All anonymous but it’s my story nonetheless. I have to admit though that I have some mixed feelings regarding the finished article. I love the fact that it gives people some insight on transgenderism and especially the much looked-down-upon crossdressers and transvestites so hopefully this article manages to change some people’s perception of us. What I don’t really like about it is how they made me sound like a totally different person. Sure, I said those things but it’s kinda like those ‘based on true events’-stories, I said those things but they’ve been adapted for a particular format and they somehow managed to make me sound absolutely nothing like me. But the core of what I said thankfully remains although some things seem to got lost in translation. But that’s my own fault as I had the chance to revise the whole thing and I just overlooked some things. Luckily enough they were just a few minor details so nothing too important. Like I said before I will try to post a translated version of the article once this issue is off the racks.

Update on the update on the interview o_o

So not long after I posted my last post about the interview I receive the semi-finished article in my mailbox. I pointed out some issues and it’s ready to go now. It’s looking good but it’s kind of weird though. I felt a certain disconnect when reading it. I could hardly imagine that it was me having said all those things. They alter it of course to make it sound nicer and guarantee a nice flow while reading through it.
I’ll be sure to translate the results so I can post it here but I want to wait till that issue has gone off the rack though. Not that my readership will drastically plummet their sales but I just reckon it’s the nice thing to do.

Update on the interview

Hey darlings,

So last week I did the interview and I think it went pretty well. I just hope they can make something decent out of my nervous ramblings : ). The thing is though, I was already supposed to have the results in my mailbox so that I have the chance to either approve it or have changes made if I don’t agree with certain things they put in there. But so far I’ve received nothing yet. I just hope this doesn’t mean it got cancelled or something. Maybe it wasn’t exactly what they expected. After all I’m not a “bona-fide” transsexual person so maybe they reckoned my story just wasn’t interesting enough. But I’m running way ahead of myself here. After all, it’s only been a mere week. Have patience Fe : ). I just hope my patience pays off. *nervous*

All glam ‘n’ gloss

Okay, so I’m rather excited and nervous at the same time. Why? Well, apparently I’ll soon be doing an interview with a local magazine called Glam-it. It’s a fashion/lifestyle magazine that me and my girlfriend like to read. Well, how in hell’s name did I get an interview in a widely published glossy you ask? Well, it all started with a comment I placed on their blog. It was an article voicing their opinion against gay discrimination upon which I replied “try going out as a transgender, then the shit will really hit the fan”. Which I said in a slight jokingly way just for the record. Anyways, they read the comment and apparently saw an article in it because they contacted me the same day to see if I was interested in an interview. I said yes of course although I’ll have to do it anonymously for my girlfriend’s sake but I’m excited nonetheless. It’ll be a face to face interview (telephone interviews seem way too awkward to me) and they’ll even let me read the article before they print it so I can give my ‘okay’.

Ohmygawd, I’m gonna be in a glossy! Teehee : D. Wish me luck!
